Shoulder Brace

A Shoulder Brace is a suspender that wraps around the back of your shoulders, extending over your chest. They’re often used to help prevent dislocated shoulders or stabilize an unstable joint after an injury or surgery.

Our top of the line German made Bauerfeind braces stabilizes the shoulder joint and provides secure joint guidance during movement. Applied compression will help with the healing. Secured straps will decrease extensive range of motion for the time of healing and provide secure support for the shoulder joint. Our OmoTrain promotes proper mobility in order to restore shoulder motor functions.

The mission of shoulder brace is to stabilize, assist or restrict movement of the shoulder post-injury and post co-operatively. The brace must be properly measured for the most effective support. The compression should feel snug and comfortable.

How Shoulder Pain Affects You?

There are three main causes for shoulder pain:

1. traumatic injury,
2. inflammation, and
3. arthritis.

Traumatic injuries can cause swelling and bruising, which often affects the area around the joint. Inflammation is common in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis of the joint. In some cases, the underlying cause of the pain may not be known. In most cases of shoulder pain, the condition will improve with non-surgical treatments.

Shoulder pain can result from a variety of factors, including:

• Tennis – Arthritis of the shoulder can be caused by elbow stress
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome – This syndrome causes tingling, numbness, or pain in your hand, wrist, or arm. The symptoms are due to pressure on the median nerve.
• Muscle Spasms – Muscle spasms are common. These tend to cause intense pain in the shoulder area. Muscle tension may result from a work-related injury, carpal tunnel syndrome, or a generalized stress reaction.
• Shoulder Dupuytren’s Contracture – This condition is characterized by an abnormal narrowing or contracture of one or more of the major tendons in the forearm. In many cases, the shoulder area tightens as a result. The cause of this problem is not known, but it can be treated to prevent further tightening.
